NewsWestern Sydney Added to Campus Tour
A date at the University of Western Sydney's Nepean campus has been added to Labor Council secretary Michael Costa's 'Bald Truth' campus tour.
The tour of five Sydney campuses is being backed by the National Union of Students and is pitch to students to join trade unions and get involved in the labour movement. "It is true that the union movement is facing a crisis and we need to engage with younger people," Costa says,. "The encouraging thing is that students and young workers are sympathetic to the principles of collectivity, it's just that we need to work out ways of making the movement more relevant to them." "As well as spreading the word, the campus tour will be a good way for me to find out what issues are resonating with students today."
