NewsRobbo Elected Unopposed
John Roberston will be the next secretary of the NSW Labor Council after he was last night elected to succeed Michael Costa unopposed. Robbo, will complete the journey from Sparkie to the most senior union official in NSW, when he takes up the position on August 31. The former Electrical Trades Union delegate will replace Costa, who is moving to the NSW Upper House. His deputy will be Mark Lennon. In announcing the succession, Costa said he was confident the pair would maintain the move to a more inclusive and activist peak council.
