Robert Cumbo from the CFMEU, Construction & General Division was presented with a Labor Council scroll of honour from his hospital bed this week.

Cumbo, a regular face at Trades Hall for many years, received the Scroll from the NSW Labor Council president Sam Moaitt.

Robert was an Apprentice cabinet maker at Don Bosco College in Egypt. He came to Australia as a tradesman at age 30.

Robert joined the Furniture Trades Union in August 1956. He was on the union's Committee of Management from 1975-1999 and was President from 1982-1999.
