The ANZ Bank is using its massive advertising budget to shut down debate on the off-shoring of jobs and personal information to India.

A Sydney electrical company has taken out advertisements in the employment pages of newspapers to threaten workers before they vote on industrial action.

In a new and ingenuous form of intimidation, Wilken Electrical Services is placing ads to employ workers on AWAs, while its current employees bargain for a collective agreement. [full story]

An industrial blueprint that restores choice for workers, powers to the industrial umpire and access to state jurisdictions will be debated at the ACTU Congress later this month.

Queensland meatworkers fear for their future after a major employer and dedicated supplier of meat to Coles supermarkets introduced condition-slashing AWAs.

Australian Country Choice, a Queensland meat production and processing company, recently overhauled its meat processing plant at Cannon Hill in the state's south-east to boost production of retail-ready trays of meat for Coles supermarkets.  [full story]
