Tooheys Orders a Blue
Tooheys drinkers are being urged to consider the attractions of Reschs, Carlton or VB as brewery drivers face earnings cuts that could cost them their family homes.

Under Tooheys' new contract with transport company Linfox, drivers are being told to cut their pay by $42,000, and to fork out up to $50,000 to upgrade their rigs. [full story]

Safety Standards Go East
A Chinese labour hire company is paying hundreds of dollars below going rates, and slashing safety standards, on a major Sydney construction job.

Despite safety improvement notices from Workcover, no workers comp premiums, and admissions of �payment irregularities�, the federal government has given Hunan Industrial Equipment Installation the greenlight to operate in Australia. [full story]
