Telstra Dogs on Injured Woman
A Brisbane woman, zapped between the ears by 240 volts of alternating current at a call centre, is still waiting for Australia�s largest company to deliver on its compensation promise.

A Telstra representative told Jackie Skelton�s union, the CPSU, a compensation offer would be made in the first week of January but, instead, weekly payments were cut and she was forced to sell her Brisbane home.  [full story]

Western Sydney Orbital workers won reinstatement for the last of three sacked delegates when a contractor ditched a ruse that would have left employees without a negotiated agreement.

Boxall Beats Hasty Retreat
CPSU members have rolled an attempt by hardline Department of Workplace Relations boss, Peter Boxall, to curtail their rights to participate in tomorrow�s federal election.

In a shock midweek move, Boxall demanded by memo, that staff wanting to hand out how to vote cards for election candidates obtain written permission from their employer. [full story]

Alterations to Ashfield properties will soon become conditional on developers or home owners obtaining asbestos certificates.

Pratt in Warwick Farm Plunge
Billionaire Richard Pratt is betting a thousand dollars a head on Warwick Farm employees turning their backs on colleagues striving for a national agreement.
