Weekend Warrior Outed
A "rusted on" conservative who took nearly a million dollars to prosecute the CFMEU, wrote the report Federal Government is using to shield itself from deepening spy scandals.

Defence officials this week released an "internal" and previously secret report from Colonel Richard Tracey that purported to shoot down findings of a military inquiry into complaints lodged by intelligence officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Lance Colllins. [full story]

Colonel Richard Tracey, QC, was a guest speaker at a conference that presented a medal to a Perth building magnate under police investigation for drawing up a hit list of 30 trade unionists.

Mum Burned By "Barbecue Stopper"
A Wagga Wagga Mum is battling to keep her part-time job after the Federal Government refused to put meat on the bones of its family-friendly "barbecue stopper".

Last ditch appeals to intervene at the IRC on Therese Martin�s behalf were brushed by Government representatives, although Canberra had intervened in recent hearings on behalf of employers. [full story]
