Ambulance Officers Win $6 Million Back-Pay
Ambulance officers have won a $6 million windfall from the Victorian Government after the Federal Court found the Government's Ambulance Services were liable for outstanding annual leave loading over the past six years.
The Victorian branch of the Liquor Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union (LHMU) launched the class action in the Federal Court in April against the Metropolitan Ambulance Service and Rural Ambulance Victoria for unpaid leave loading since 1996. [full story]
